Like all other elementary schools in Burnaby, Lyndhurst has the “safe arrival program”. This means that if a child is marked absent, but the office has not been contacted by the caregivers advising of the absence/tardiness, a phone call or email home will be made to ensure the child is safe.
Please let the office know If your child will be absent, late, or picked up early, even if you have already advised the teacher, so that we do not bother you at home/work.
Notify us with one of the options below:
-
- Complete the Absence Reporting Form
- Send an email to lyndhurst.info@burnabyschools.ca
- Leave a message on the absence line (604-296-9020 ext. 2)
Please include the following details:
-
- Child(ren)’s Name(s)
- Teacher/Division
- Dates/times
- Reason for Absence
Please note that you are required to contact the school each day your child is absent, even if they were reported sick the previous day, unless you indicated a date range that your child will be away in a previous communication. This is for safety purposes.
Students are expected to sign-in at the office if they are late so we can correct the attendance record.
