Literacy Day

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023,  Lyndhurst Elementary will be sharing Literacy Day with our students and their families.

Between 9:00 am to 9:30 am, we will be hosting a school wide Read-A-Thon.  Families are invited to stay and read with their children in their classrooms.

Students are encouraged to collect donations for this event.  The proceeds will support getting more books for our school library.  More information and pledge sheets will be coming home sometime next week.  The Read-a-Thon donation information has also been added to School Cash Online.

Starting at 10:00 am, we will have a short Literacy Day assembly.  Families are more than welcome to stay for this activity as well.

For those wishing to participate, there will be a book cover art contest and literacy bingo which can be done at home.

We are asking everyone to come wearing something that can be read (school appropriate, of course).  If your child does not have anything with writing on it, you can write/print something on a piece of paper and attach it to their clothing.
